Leadership Legacy Project SM

As the largest generation in US history is approaching retirement, it is time for Baby Boomers to contemplate and promote the leadership legacy they wish to leave behind. Despite the growing awareness of serious concerns about workforce demographics, employee retention, knowledge retention, global market competition and the health of our corporate culture, most organizations have done little or no planning or programming for leadership succession.

The Leadership Legacy Project SM is a program designed to help leaders in the Baby Boom generation articulate the legacy they want to leave behind them, and answer the questions:

  • What will happen when I leave?
  • Who will be there to take the reins?
  • What does the next generation need to be successful?

The Baby Boom’s finest hour is yet to come. Armed with insights about the dynamics of today’s generational landscape, we help Baby Boomer leaders to identify and actively train and mentor the next generation, known as “Generation X,” to embrace their legacy and carry it forth into the future. This process requires vision, self-reflection, and a readiness by leaders to “come of age”: they must embrace their role in leaving a legacy, and recognize and engage with the experiences and values of succeeding generations.

The Leadership Legacy Project SM is the culmination of 15 years of research, observation and experience. We apply our expertise in generational diversity and tested leadership development methodology to help organizations with both the mentoring and the development of future Gen X leaders.
