Programs The Leadership Laboratory®
Given the multitude of leadership development courses and tools available to the modern administrator or executive, the Leadership Laboratory® serves as an antidote to the complexity of that menu. Simply put, we believe that Leadership is Personal. The spectrum of tools and leadership philosophies are only as good as the user of those tools. The Leadership Laboratory® focuses on the leader as the user of the tools.
GLI’s flagship program, the Leadership Laboratory® aspires to elicit the internal resources of the participants by creating an environment that promotes self-awareness, personal commitment, and leadership practice. This program is founded on the principle that the practice of Conscious Leadership requires a meaningful understanding of our individual nature, habits and beliefs. GLI facilitators provide processes and models that allow participants to consciously:
- Understand and manage their own natural strengths and limitations
- Identify and address internal resistance to realizing their goals
- Practice new, simple habits that serve to align their behavior with their best intentions
- Strive for life balance to ensure sustainable and meaningful leadership
Repetition and program flexibility is key to Lab’s success. Our customized approach is to bring small groups of peers together for three to four sessions spaced out over the course of six to eight months. The iterative group learning process provides a safe environment where diverse perspectives and experiences are integral to providing depth of understanding and peer support for the content of the Leadership Laboratory®. Our clients and participants have observed the following outcomes:
- Participants become conscious of their leadership behavior, often for the first time
- Participants can adjust personal beliefs and habits that have impeded their leadership success in the past
- Participants benefit from personalized leadership coaching in the small group format: each person can focus on her own personal and professional goals
- A cohort of leaders is created within the organization, fostering a culture of common leadership ethics while building bench strength
- Client customization is easy and cost effective, due to the simplicity and flexibility of the design.
The program has a track record . We have been conducting the Leadership Laboratory ® for over 15 years, developing leaders to better meet the challenges of the future. Consistently, our participants leave the Leadership Laboratory ® empowered with increased emotional intelligence, a greater sense of confidence, and armed with more choices about how to navigate the turbulent waters of change as intentional, conscious leaders.
